Rabbi David Kunin, with his wife Shelley and Rabbi Shoshana Kaminsky, under the auspices of the UPJ, has assisted Indonesia's emerging Progressive community over the past number of years. Earlier this month, Rabbi Kunin brought two Sifrei Torah to Tokyo (donated by congregations in Edmonton, Canada and Newcastle, Pennsylvania) and will deliver them to Indonesia next month.
