The Hobart Hebrew Congregation welcomed two visiting Rabbis for Simchat Torah services: Kinneret Shiryon (Rabbi Emerita of Kehillat Yozma, Modi’in, Israel) and JoEllen Duckor (Mashpiah of Temple Sinai, Wellington).
The Progressive Congregation of the ACT Jewish Community (ACTJC) has invited Rabbi Gary Robuck (pictured with Progressive congregation chair Sarah Greenbaum) to lead its High Holy Day services, and to continue to support the community throughout the year at Shabbat services and programs.
The UPJ community is invited to attend celebrations throughout Australia organised by the Australian Religious Response to Climate Change (ARRCC) during the week of 7-14 October. Attendees will share what inspires them from various faith traditions and religious leaders will speak about their efforts to reduce their own carbon footprint and will offer a vegan meal and some will feature musical performances.
