UPJ declares strong support for Israel

The Union for Progressive Judaism, ARZA Australia, the Assembly of Rabbis and Cantors of Australia, New Zealand and Asia, and Netzer Australia wish to declare their strong support for the people of Israel as they conduct the necessary war against Hamas to protect its citizens, following the unprecedented attack by Hamas on 7 October 2023.

On the anniversary of the Yom Kippur War, terrorists fired over 2,000 rockets at Israel and initiated a land attack, brutally murdering 1,200 civilians.

Israelis across the country have been forced into bomb shelters, and communities are fighting to protect their families.

Hamas terrorists took 240 innocent civilians as hostages, including babies, children, adults and aged adults.

We stand with Israel and its citizens and pray for the safety of the brave Israelis serving in the Israel Defence Forces and pray that the hostages will soon be returned home safely.

Am Yisrael Chai.
